The history of sushi began with paddy fields in Southeast Asia, where fish was fermented with salt and rice, after which the rice was discarded. The dish is today known as narezushi, and was introduced to Japan around the Yayoi period. In the Moromachi period, people began to eat the rice as well as the fish.

occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the key ingredient is sushi rice, also referred to as shari, or sumeshi
Sushi can be prepared with either brown or white rice. It is often prepared with raw seafood, but some varieties of sushi use cooked ingredients, and many others are vegetarian. Sushi is often served with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. Daikon radish is popular as a garnish.
Sushi is often confused with sashimi, a related Japanese dish consisting of thinly sliced raw fish or occasionally meat, and an optional serving of rice
Sashimi is Japanese delicacy consisting of vary fresh raw meat or fish sliced into thin pieces.
Many non-Japanese use the terms sashimi and sushi interchangeably, but two dishes are distinct and separate.Sushi refers to any dish made with vinegared rice. While raw fish is one traditional sushi ingredient, many sushi dishes contain seafood that has been cooked, and others have no seafood at all.
Thai cooking places emphasis on lightly prepared dished with strong aromatic companents and a spicy edge.

Thai Curry refers to dishes in Thai cuisine that are made with various types of
curry paste ; the term can also refer to pastes themselves. A Thai curry dish is made
from curry paste, coconut milk or water, meat, seafood, vegetable or fruit, and herbs.
Curries in Thailand mainly differ from the curries in Indian cuisine in their use of fresh
ingredients such as herbs and aromatic leaves over a mix of spices.
Thai food is known for its enthusiastic use fresh (rather than dried) herbs and spices. Common flavors in Thai food come from garlic, galanga , coriander/ cilento , lemon grass, shallots, pepper, kaffir lime leaves, shrimp paste, fish sauce, and chilies . Palm sugar, made from sap of certain Borassus palms, is used to sweeten dishes while lime and tamarind contribute sour notes. Meats use in Thai cuisine are usually pork and chicken, also duck, beef and water buffalo. Goat and mutton are rarely eaten except by Muslim Thais. Traditionally,fish, crustaceans, and shellfish play an important role in diet of Thai people.
